I have been painting for over 40 years now...I am always trying.  An idea pops into my head, if I'm lucky I transfer to paper or canvas, and at the end it is rarely what I intend.  So, I try again and again.  I live in Louisville, Kentucky so most inspiration comes from my surroundings.

 

  I am a doodler when it comes to drawing...most is abstract, so rarely do I use drawings from scratch.

What I strive for...what most strive for...is color and light.  The pigments in watercolor (and oil) are such that color leaps from the page.  Most prints can't match up.
